Why we're building Kobe
We built and sold a company together. Then went in different directions.
Consumer growth at NeoTaste. Product at Toggl. Infrastructure at Terramate.
The same problem showed up everywhere.

We learned the same lesson at every company we built. Launch a market, ship a feature, change pricing. It only works if you understand your customers first.
The problem is staying close to them. Talking to customers is slow. It's manual. And it usually sits with one research team, so everyone else decides without ever hearing a customer directly.
The best teams we worked at stayed close to customers anyway.
Kobe gives every team that edge. Talk to your customers. Hear them directly. Decide on what they said, not what you guessed.
It's the tool we wished we had at every company we worked at.
The team
Nils co-founded Explo, scaled it to 150K users, and sold it to HUP GmbH in 2025. He then ran growth at NeoTaste, growing the team from 50 to 120 people across London and Vienna. At Kobe he runs strategy, fundraising, and go-to-market.
Tobi co-founded Explo with Nils. After the sale, he founded myProtectify (Plug & Play Accelerator SF), then joined Toggl where he led four product teams. At Kobe he runs product and design.
